Mama Elephant 12th Anniversary!

Hello crafty friends! Hooray! We are celebrating Mama Elephant's 12th anniversary! Wow, 12 years full of crafty cuteness!!! My ME obsession started in 2015 when I bought Pandamonium and Party Kit to make cupcake toppers and thank you cards for my daughter's panda themed party. And lucky for all of us, the cuteness has continued over all these years!

To kick off the celebration, today I am sharing this vellum card featuring the new Elephant Cheer stamp set. The card front is a piece of vellum, overlaying the colored cardbase. To create this card, I created an A2 size cardbase from green cardstock. The vellum front is 5 1/4" by 4 3/4", scored at 4 1/8" to create a hinge along the long side. The vellum front was embossed with an embossing folder (but not the hinge part). Then I glued the hinge part into the open part of the A2 cardbase and glued the cardbase shut. I hope this makes sense once you see the card in action in the video.

I cut 2 panels using the 2nd largest Eyelet Frames dies and one plain rectangle from patterned paper that fits the inside of the eyelet frame. On one panel, I masked off and ink blended a bit of ground with Distress Ink old paper. The images were colored with Copic markers (I used warm grays for the elephants) and added some Lawn Fawn prisma glitter to the ornaments.

After stamping the inside sentiment onto the 2nd panel, I glued it onto the cardbase. I also glued the outside panel so that when the vellum front is closed, the front panel covers the inside panel. I added the patterned paper on the inside of the vellum to cover up the adhesive you can see from the outside panel. Finally, I glued on a sentiment from Winter Banner Greetings.
