ME Designer Series: Penguin Park Shaped Shaker Card

Hello crafty friends! This March release is SO FUN and right up my alley because I love making "mouse theme park" cards! I used to be an annual pass holder back in the days when I was young and single so creating these theme park cards is a fun reminder of those carefree days, hahaha! Today I am sharing a shaped shaker card featuring Penguin Park!

The new Penguin Park set is so adorable and so fun that I used it multiple times for this release. The castle image is the perfect size and the penguins are the cutest. I decided to color the castle with a more muted, monochromatic color scheme to go with the patterned paper. On my other cards, I colored it according to the actual Anaheim D-land Sleeping Beauty castle, golden spire and all. But for today's card, I wanted to show you a different (and simpler) color scheme and I love how it turned out!

I used B2B Arches to create the base, shaker frame, and acetate panel. I glued the castle image to the background panel and stamped the sentiment. To create the shaker, I used thick foam tape around the shaker frame. I added the shaker mix to the background and then carefully placed the shaker panel on top. My instant regret was not adding more shaker bits... so when in doubt, add a pinch (or three) more!

The sentiment banner is from Spring Banner Greetings and I inlaid the letters after cutting them out of white glitter paper. I glued the banner and penguin images on top and then adhered everything to the cardbase.

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a magical day and happy crafting! ~Jenn
