ME Stamp Highlight: Candy Cane Lane

Hi crafty friends! Today we are sharing inspiration for Candy Cane Lane and what a fun set this is!

I am a paper hoarder and I am trying to use more of my patterned paper. I always have trouble using patterned paper that has a little scene on it, you know what I'm talking about? So I have this now retired Lawn Fawn paper and the cute little scene inspired the design of my card. I thought using it as the background for the big mushroom house would work well with building a scene for the mice.

I colored my mice with warm grays and colored the accessories to match the background elements in my paper. I stamped the sentiment with a Concord & 9th ink (juniper) to match the background.

I cut out the scene using Postcard Combo and glued it onto coordinating patterned paper. Sometimes, you just don't have the time/energy/brainspace to create a super fancy background, but using patterned paper in this way can be a really cute and fun solution!

Thanks for stopping by today! Happy crafting!
