I created a pendulum card that features the cute Santa sleigh from Santa's Friends. The sleigh soars over a city skyline created from Bright City.
I used a Lawn Fawn stencil to create the moon using Distress Ink (lost shadow) and then ink blended the night sky with Distress Oxide inks (tumbled glass, uncharted mariner, chipped sapphire, black soot). To add stars, I splattered some white acrylic paint.
To create the pendulum mechanism, I watched this video and built the mechanism into the background. I popped the buildings up with extra thick foam tape. Be careful with the placement of your foam tape and be sure to leave a clear path for the swinging arm of the pendulum.
