Hello crafty friends! Welcome to day 1 of the April 2025 Stamp Highlights for Mama Elephant! We are sharing inspiration for Game Night, the perfect set for all gaming enthusiasts! I made two cards because I couldn't pick a favorite one to share.
The first card is a Scrabble inspired card! I remember playing Scrabble with my older brothers and it would get competitive to the point where we would break out the big Merriam Webster dictionary to confirm words. I had spelled out a random word because I couldn't do anything else with my letters and my brothers challenged me... turns out LEROT is a real word, everyone!! Haha!
I used Grid Window to cut out squares to create the tiles. The letters were stamped with Personal Letters and the letter values were added with Little Signage Agenda. The image from Game Night was colored with Copic markers. I wanted the sentiment to span one line so I masked and stamped the sentiment. The background was embossed with a cool chevron embossing folder (thanks Davina, aka Popsiclesticks!💕)
My second card is a nod to my son who is really into chess right now. He asks me to play chess with him, and I will try my hardest, and he beats me. The closest I ever got to winning against him was when we had a stalemate. He's only 10, haha! Not a chess grandmaster but he still enjoys playing!
I used Grid Window again to create the chess board. The frame was from Stitched Border Frames and I created a woodgrain effect with a stamp. This card design was simple but I really love how it turned out.
