Mama Elephant Stamp Highlight: Simple Friends Bubbles

Hello crafty friends! Today's card is a nod to one of my favorite TV shows, Friends! When I saw the two speech bubbles from the new Simple Friends Bubbles set that were lyrics from the theme song, I knew I had to make this card.

Solid stamps can be a bit tricky to use when they are new so I did a few steps to prep it for use. I prepped my Simple Friends Bubbles stamp by rubbing it with my hand, wiping with a damp shammy, rubbing it with a clean eraser, then wiping again with a shammy. Finally, I dabbed Versamark ink on it, let it set for 15-30 seconds, then wiped it off with my hand. I used Lawn Fawn inks (manatee, hippo) to stamp out the sentiments and then cut them out with the coordinating die.

To create the barn, I used the new Farm House creative cuts. To create the wooden slats, I cut 3/8 inch strips of red cardstock and lightly applied ground espresso Distress Ink to the edges. I took an A2 sized piece of printer paper and applied adhesive all over it (Tombow Dots Adhesive) and laid the strips on. Then I cut out the farm house panel from it to create my barn. The rest of the farm house pieces and clouds were cut from cardstock.

I stamped, colored, and cut out some cows from Little Cow Agenda and a chick from Little Chickie Agenda. To create the hay in the barn window, I used one of the clouds cut from the Farm House dies and colored it like hay with Copic markers (YR21, YR23, YR27). For the sun, I used the sun dies from Cloud Nine and yellow cardstock. The clouds were stenciled with Distress Oxide tumbled glass using the Lawn Fawn Cloudy Stencil and blending brushes. The grass was cut from Lawn Fawn Watercolor Wishes paper.

My inside sentiment was created with Little Signage Agenda letters and Lucky Alphas creative cuts. I arranged everything onto a panel cut with the Mod Heart creative cuts
