Hi crafty friends! The first Mama Elephant release of 2024 is here and it is MOO-velous! Today I have two projects to share with you, a cow card with matching gift bag!
For the card, I used the newest addition to the Little Agenda line, Little Cow Agenda! I love these cows! I colored them up with Copic markers (T3, T5, W1, W2, W3, R30, R42, R81, R83, R85) and cut them out with the coordinating dies. Then, I cut out the Square Grid Cover and colored in cow spots. For the sentiments, I white heat embossed the Easy Sentiments onto black cardstock and cut the out with coordinating dies.
The background is ink blended with Distress Oxides (kitsch flamingo, squeezed lemonade, and salvaged patina). Then I splattered the background with water, white paint, and Lawn Fawn Liquid Stardust. I learned that splattering it straight without diluting causes it to dry a little tacky, so next time I will dilute it with a bit of water before splattering.
For the gift bag, I cut out two pieces of white cardstock with the Favor Bag creative cuts and ink blended the front panels with the same Distress Oxides as my card. Again, I colored in cow spots onto the side panels so that everything will match with the card. The sentiments from Simple Friends Bubbles were stamped out with Lawn Fawn mermaid ink and Distress Oxide kitsch flamingo.
To create the cow, I used the FBA Cow dies and cut out pieces from colored card stock. I used Distress inks (antique linen for the face; vintage photo for the horns; kitsch flamingo for the ears) to add some shading. For the ears, I used Waffleflower Shader Brush PLUS size 0 because they are great for detailed inking. I made the party hat by ink blending Distress Oxides (salvaged patina, peacock feathers, mermaid lagoon) onto a triangle cardstock I cut with my paper trimmer and then hot glued a pom pom. Finally, I stuck the cow onto the bag with a wobble spring! Super fun!
