Hi crafty friends! Pinch me because I think I'm dreaming... but I was invited to be part of the Mama Elephant Design Team! Whaaat?!?! I can't believe it either! What an incredible honor and thrill to design for my favorite stamp company that started my whole cardmaking journey! Thank you to Kryssi and Angela for this amazing opportunity! Now onto my first card! When I saw this Beary Good Day set, I just had to have the cute balloon bear floating through a cloudy sky. I was inspired by pinks and purples this time so I made the sky from Distress Oxides (tattered rose, saltwater taffy, seedless preserves, fired brick) and splattered with gold watercolor paint. I cut out the big heart and panel with the Mod Heart cover die and then replicated the color blend for the clouds in the heart cutout with a cloud stencil.
I colored up the images with Copic markers and cut them out with the coordinating dies:
Bear: E000, E50, E51, R30; balloons: R81, R83, R85, R00, V01, V12, V15, V17
Sun: Y00, Y11, Y13, Y15; Cloud: BG10, BG11, R81, R83, R85
I cut out tiny hearts (Basic Set) and the "hello" sentiment (Mega Flipper) from gold glitter paper. I cut out a few more "hello"s from white cardstock and stacked them all together for extra dimension. Finally, I stamped the sentiment and used a banner die from Mega Flipper to cut it out.
