Waffle Flower Floral Wreath Card

Hi crafty friends! The first card I'm sharing from the Waffle Flower November 2022 release is this floral wreath card. If you haven't joined the blog hop for a chance to win a prize, please make sure you stop by my post (click HERE), leave a comment, and then hop along to the others to enter!

For this card, I was trying to channel a Joanna Gaines vibe with the shiplap background. I wanted to make some sort of wreath with the flowers but wanted to keep it simple and Joanna Gaines-y 😂 This card was very WWJD-- "What Would Joanna Do?" Haha!

To make the shiplap background, I cut strips of cardstock and lightly inked the edges with weathered wood Distress Oxide ink. To create the wreath, I cut 2 thin circle frames from 110lb cardstock, glued them together to make it even more sturdy, and wrapped jute twine around it.

I used the Waffle Flower Layered Flowers Die from the new release and cut the flowers out of white cardstock. Then I lightly inked them with various Distress Inks and Distress Oxides. The sentiment is from the WF Subsentiments Diecut sheet (super quick and easy to add a sentiment!). I used a black marker to color the edges of the sentiment strip to make it look a bit more polished.
